Little Paws Kennel was started in July 2004 with the idea of providing people with precious puppies that they could
cherish for a lifetime.
The kennel was started by Joe and Marty and their son Lucus Dalinghaus. Also helping in the operation are Joe and
Marty's other two sons, Jacob and Tyler. Lucus is currently in college, and when he isn't at home, he is helping run
the business from there. The kennel started with 3 Miniature Schauzners and has grown from there.
The idea to start the dog business was brought to attention by Lucus, after the family got out of the dairy farm operation.
After thoughtful consideration, the family decided to start the kennel operation. Joe and Marty had previously raised
dogs for many years, but decided to sell out about 13 years ago.
The dairy barn was turned into a kennel and the rest is history. As mentioned before, the operation started with
3 dogs, and is now up to around 60.
Each dog is cared for individually on a daily basis. They are kept in an air conditioned and heated environment.
We feed Elite high protein dog food, which is purchased from our local Co-op.
We take great pride in the high quality of our dogs and puppies. The puppies are given their shots at the their
regular intervals, and are vet checked before they shipped to their new owner.
As you can see, this truly is a family affair. Little Paws Kennel takes great pride in making sure their dogs are
well-cared for and healthy. It is our job to make sure our puppies find a great home. One thing we have learned
is there aren't many things that bring more joy into a person's life than a puppy.
